Students: AIHF Scholarship Applications Are Due Jan. 28
The American Industrial Hygiene Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2019–2020 academic year. Students are evaluated on academic record, extracurricular activities, future goals as an industrial hygienist, and potential for leadership in the industrial hygiene profession. Several AIHF scholarships have specific criteria, and schools or students who meet those criteria will be given first consideration. Students who submit a completed application will be considered for all the scholarships for which they are eligible.  The AIHF Scholarship Selection Committee will determine the scholarship awards during the selection process. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decisions by March 2019. All scholarship funds will be distributed in the fall of 2019, and all recipients will be recognized at AIHce EXP 2019 in Minneapolis, Minn. In addition to completing the AIHF electronic
application
, interested students must submit supplemental materials via
email
by Jan. 28, 2019. For more information on AIHF scholarships and eligibility requirements, including a complete list of required materials, visit the AIHF
website
.  Donations to AIHF scholarship funds or memorial grants can be made
online
. Contributions are tax deductible as provided by law. Donating to AIHF will help ensure that deserving students preparing for careers in industrial hygiene will receive scholarships. A new
page
on the AIHF website illustrates the impact that donations have had on the lives of several scholarship recipients.  Since 1982, AIHF has distributed more than $2 million to more than 700 students studying industrial hygiene and related disciplines at 50-plus different schools and universities. These scholarships have enabled talented students to complete their education and have encouraged the most promising scholars to enter or remain in the industrial hygiene profession.
