Late in September 2018, the United States, Mexico, and Canada negotiated a new trade agreement. Most stakeholders—including labor and business groups—seem to favor a new agreement, but there are still many concerns about whether workers in all three countries will be better protected by the new agreement than they had been by NAFTA.
