AIHA LAP CELEBRATES A MAJOR ANNIVERSARY AND LOOKS FORWARD TO BUILDING ON ITS LEGACY
A lot has happened since 1974 when AIHA, after working closely with NIOSH, OSHA, and CDC, announced it would begin accrediting industrial hygiene laboratories and operating a companion proficiency testing program. That first year, AIHA accredited some 26 IH laboratories, ten of which are still IH accredited today.

Laboratory fume hoods are the most important exposure control devices in research laboratories where hazardous materials are used.
