AIHA has announced its support of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health’s (IOSH) “No Time to Lose” campaign, which launched Nov. 3 to raise awareness about carcinogenic exposure issues and help employers take action to cut the number of deaths from occupational cancer in the U.K. and internationally.
“Thousands of workers’ lives are tragically cut short due to cancer caused by occupational exposures,” said AIHA President Christine A.D. Lorenzo, CIH. “By focusing on a range of work-related carcinogenic exposures, IOSH’s No Time to Lose campaign will help raise awareness and offer practical support to employers to help them tackle this significant occupational health issue.”
