In February, CDC released updated tables to provide nationally representative biomonitoring data that have become available since the agency published its Fourth National Report on Human Exposure to Environmental Chemicals, 2009. According to CDC, the updated tables provide new data for some metals, phthalates, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). New chemicals measured for the first time include copper, zinc, and selenium in serum; manganese, strontium, and tin in urine; and 29 urinary metabolites of several VOCs.
