Going Green!
To help reduce waste and our footprint on the environment, AIHA and our suppliers have partnered on the following initiatives:
  • Transitioning the printed Advance Program and Final Program to fully digital, eliminating paper product, fuel, and emissions used to transport programs via mail.
  • Reducing the final program page count by listing session descriptions and exhibitor company descriptions online.
  • Ticketless registration.
  • Digital Pathway Passport game found in the mobile app/virtual platform.
  • Digital signage outside meeting rooms and for directions.
  • Badges made from recycled materials, which can also be recycled.
  • Banners and signs made of eco-board.
  • Recycle stations for paper, cans and bottles, and other items located throughout the PCC meeting space.
  • Water bottle refill stations located near restroom pods throughout the PCC.
  • PCC is a GBAC STAR™ Accredited Facility and includes a water harvesting garden and a solar-power-generating plant.
  • The PCC’s catering team partners with local farmers to buy locally-grown, fresh organic produce when possible and uses reusable cutlery, dishware, linens, and decorations.
To help us “green” the conference, we encourage you to:
  • Go digital (rather than print). Download to your computer any presentations and handouts and take notes digitally.
  • Consider donating to a carbon offset program of your choice (or your company’s) to balance your AIHce carbon footprint.
  • Use public transportation or ride share.
  • Recycle your paper, plastic, and glass in the receptacles provided throughout the convention center.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle to refill at water stations throughout the convention center.
