Chemical Information Portal Update Seeks to Improve Functionality
A new version of eChemPortal, a tool that provides free public access to information on the properties of chemical substances, is now available from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. Version 3.0, which was released on Feb. 3, includes an updated user interface, a refreshed design, and improved navigation. Other new features include search functionality from the eChemPortal home page, filtering and sorting on results tables, and a preliminary indication of the number of results expected in a search by chemical properties. Users can simultaneously search reports and datasets by chemical name and number, by chemical property, and by classification according to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, or GHS. eChemPortal also provides exposure and use information for chemicals.
eChemPortal was first launched in 2007 and was developed by OECD in collaboration with the European Chemicals Agency. Learn more about OECD.
