OSHA Alerts Address Hazards of Flood Cleanup, Other Situations
OSHA recently published a series of alerts that briefly describe how to keep workers safe in a variety of situations. The new publications cover safety hazards associated with trenching and excavation, flood recovery and cleanup, hot weather, and operating and working near forklifts. OSHA alerts are intended to draw attention to worker health and safety issues and solutions.
OSHA’s new alerts include links to additional resources for employers and workers. These resources include the agency’s On-Site Consultation program and videos on trench safety and OSHA’s heat illness awareness campaign.
OSHA’s publications page features other recently published items as well as the agency’s most downloaded publications. Select publications are also available in e-book format.
