Safe + Sound Week, a series of events intended to raise awareness of occupational safety and health, will be held across the United States Aug. 13–19. Safe + Sound Week focuses on three topics that OSHA has identified as core elements of an occupational health and safety program: commitment to health and safety from the highest levels of management; the engagement of workers in implementing, evaluating, and improving health and safety; and finding and fixing hazards.  In June, OSHA held a webinar as part of the agency’s promotional campaign for Safe + Sound Week that discussed how to launch or invigorate safety and health programs in workplaces.
