AIHA Road Courses are designed to meet the needs of today’s OEHS professional. Participants earn points and learn skills that can be applied immediately in their own practice. AIHA recently announced new dates and locations for three Road Courses.

Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene will be held three times in 2015 in Columbus, Ohio: March 23–26, June 15–18, and Nov. 9–12. This four-day course is designed not only for OEHS professionals new to industrial hygiene or who have newly acquired IH responsibilities, but also serves as an excellent refresher. Participants are exposed to the broad field of industrial hygiene through sampling and workshop sessions, hands-on lab experiences, demo sessions, and problem-solving exercises.
Exposure and Chemical Monitoring — Beyond IH Fundamentals, an intermediate three-day course, will be held Oct. 26–28, in Columbus, Ohio. This course is designed to provide additional training and knowledge in the aspects of industrial hygiene chemical monitoring through group exercises and discussion. Attendees work in groups of four and build on knowledge gained in the Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene course.
Finally, two new dates for AIHA’s Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene Review course have been announced: April 20–24, and Sept. 21–25, in Ann Arbor, Mich. This four-and-a-half-day course is an intensive, high-level review of a wide range of industrial hygiene topics for individuals preparing to take the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) examination, those who have taken the exam but need a refresher, or others who desire a comprehensive review of topics relevant to the practice of industrial hygiene.
