AAOHN Offers Respiratory Protection Training for OHS Professionals
A new page hosted by the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) provides free respiratory protection program training and resources for occupational health nurses and other health and safety professionals. The page was launched in collaboration with NIOSH’s National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory, which helped fund the project. AAOHN’s resources include a respiratory protection course, “OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard: The Role of the Occupational Health Nurse,” and accompanying materials intended for those interested in learning about the role of the respiratory protection program administrator.
AAOHN also offers trainings in respiratory protection for frontline healthcare workers and ancillary healthcare workers. Both trainings meet the annual training requirements of OSHA’s respiratory protection standard and are free for healthcare organizations to use.
Individuals can access AAOHN’s free training and resources via the
AAOHN Academy
