Inner Harbor to Welcome AIHce Attendees Registration is open for AIHce, the conference that helps industrial hygiene and occupational and environmental health and safety professionals address workplace challenges, work more effectively, drive revenue, and, most importantly, protect worker health. AIHce 2016 will be held May 21–26 at Baltimore’s famed Inner Harbor. Join thousands of colleagues at the Baltimore Convention Center for world-class education and networking opportunities. For more information or to register, visit the AIHce 2016 website. Meet the Opening Session speaker. On Monday, May 23, Adam Steltzner, team leader and chief engineer for the entry, descent, and landing (EDL) phase of NASA's Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover, will present the AIHce 2016 Opening Session, “The Right Kind of Crazy: A True Story of Teamwork, Leadership and High Stakes Innovation.” He and his team designed, built, and flew the systems that, at 50 miles above Mars, slowed the one-ton rover from a speed of nearly 15,000 miles per hour and delivered it safely to the planet’s surface. With a unique and inspiring narrative, Steltzner will discuss the power of human curiosity and the importance of fostering a culture of collaborative innovation. Following the Opening Session, Steltzner will sign copies of his new book in the Expo Hall and will host an interactive “ask-the-expert” session. PAL Program. The Personal AIHce Liaison (PAL) Program made its debut at AIHce 2014 with the goal of helping first-time attendees get the most out of the conference. Back by popular demand, the PAL Program matches “first timers”—new professional attendees and students—with seasoned AIHce attendees, or “PALs.” Interested attendees can sign up to participate when they register for the conference. Virtual conference. Can’t make it to AIHce 2016? The AIHce Virtual Conference provides valuable education and inspiring keynotes without the need to travel. Gather a team and learn together, or access the virtual conference individually. Virtual AIHce 2016 registration includes a multitrack session broadcast; opportunities to submit questions for presenters and interact with other virtual participants via chat; and post-conference access to session recordings. AIHce 2016 On Demand. Concerned about missing an important session at AIHce because you can’t be two places at once? AIHce On Demand allows you to take advantage of all the conference has to offer. Browse the expo, attend committee meetings, and network with colleagues at social events without worrying about missing out on education sessions. After the conference is over, attendees who purchase AIHce On Demand will receive online access to recorded presentations that can be viewed on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. AIHce On Demand is available for purchase with conference registration. Stewardship 2016. Once again, Stewardship 2016 is conveniently co-located with AIHce 2016. However, the fees to participate in Stewardship are separate from those for AIHce. IH/OH professionals with an expanded role or interest in product stewardship may sign up for the All Access Pass (a savings of $600), giving them the freedom to attend sessions and events for both conferences. More information is available from the AIHce 2016 website.
