Updated OSHA Guide Covers Training Requirements in Agency Standards
OSHA recently published an updated version of its guide Training Requirements in OSHA Standards, which is intended to provide employers, health and safety professionals, training directors, and others with information on training requirements in specific OSHA standards. The agency excerpted and collected training-related requirements for the updated publication, which is organized into five categories of OSHA standards: general industry, maritime, construction, agriculture, and federal employee programs. The updated guide is available as a PDF on OSHA’s website. OSHA notes that requirements for posting information, warning signs, and labels are excluded from the guide, along with most references to the qualifications of people assigned to test workplace conditions or equipment. For information on OSHA training courses, educational programs, and training materials and resources, visit the OSHA Directorate of Training and Education Web page. Information on training techniques and resources for developing training programs are available in OSHA’s publication Resource for Development and Delivery of Training to Workers (PDF).
